Arsenal Makes Exploratory Inquiry for Leipzig Forward Diomande but Unwilling to Pay Inflated Price
According to Football.London's Arsenal correspondent Tom Canton, Arsenal has made an exploratory inquiry for RB Leipzig forward Yang Diomande but has not pursued the deal further. The 19-year-old Ivorian international, who scored 12 goals and provided 9 assists in the Bundesliga last season, is valued by Leipzig at around £94 million. The player reportedly prefers joining Paris Saint-Germain, though PSG has not met Leipzig's asking price. Arsenal, having lost out on Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for £117 million, is searching for wing attackers but will not engage in premium deals far exceeding a player's valuation. Sporting director Berta has scouted alternatives including Barcola, Goetz, and Alebegovic, while the club is close to signing Zolis from Club Brugge for £34 million. Arsenal previously failed to agree a deal for Leipzig's Sesko and is keen to strengthen the left-wing position following Trossard's departure.
