Arsenal eye record-breaking wonderkid Axel Donczew as summer rebuild continues
Arsenal are showing strong interest in signing Cardiff City midfielder Axel Donczew, who became Cardiff's youngest-ever player last season at 15 years and 234 days. The Gunners have already been active in the summer transfer market, completing permanent deals for Piero Hincapie and Ilian Meslier, while selling Leandro Trossard to Besiktas and Jakub Kiwior to Porto. A deal for Club Brugge's Christos Tzolis is also agreed. Donczew would join Arsenal's academy setup with potential for future first-team exposure. Cardiff manager Brian Barry-Murphy praised Donczew's talent and maturity. Arsenal previously signed Ecuadorian brothers Edwin and Holger Quintero, but lost out on Leicester's Jeremy Monga to Manchester City.
