Arsenal Begins Pre-Season Training in Girona with Relaxed Pool Recovery Session
Arsenal's entire squad has arrived in Girona, Spain, for their pre-season training camp ahead of the first friendly match against Spanish second-division side Girona this Saturday at Montilivi Stadium. On the first training day, players completed pitch work and gym sessions before a recovery session in the pool, where they relaxed and played head tennis, creating a light-hearted atmosphere. Several first-team players including Kai Havertz, Viktor Gyökeres, and Gabriel Jesus are present, while England internationals Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze remain on holiday due to World Cup commitments. Manager Mikel Arteta will use the camp to evaluate new signings Trossard and Meslier, as well as returning loanees Reiss Nelson and Fábio Vieira. After the Girona match, Arsenal will face Real Betis, Borussia Dortmund, and Como in further warm-ups, followed by the Community Shield against Manchester City on August 16.
