Andhra Pradesh Cultural Committee Chief Urges Youth to Prioritize Reading Over Social Media
P. Tejaswi, Chairperson of the Andhra Pradesh State Creative and Cultural Committee, urged young people to reduce their dependence on social media and devote more time to reading. Speaking at the launch of a student-authored short story collection 'Nachchite Malli Kalustanu' at P.B. Siddhartha Arts and Science College in Vijayawada, she described books as a 'wonderful technology comparable to a time machine.' She cited Bill Gates and Elon Musk as examples of avid readers who excelled through reading. Tejaswi also called for India to become a talent-attracting nation rather than a source of emigrants. The event included a cash award of ₹10,000 to the student author R. Sravanthi, presented by committee convener Nimmagadda Lalitha Prasad.
