AMPYR Distributed Energy secures $194 million in debt financing for growth
UK-based AMPYR Distributed Energy (ADE) has secured €170 million ($194 million) in debt financing from Crédit Agricole CIB and Franklin Templeton's Benefit Street Partners to accelerate its European expansion. The funding will support the growth of distributed renewable energy assets and strategic acquisitions across Europe, following ADE's recent acquisition of a 70MW portfolio from TotalEnergies. ADE develops, operates, and owns on-site renewable energy infrastructure for industrial and commercial clients through long-term power purchase agreements. CEO John Behan stated the financing demonstrates confidence in the company's strategy and positions it to help organizations turn energy into a strategic asset. The company also recently acquired the East Yorkshire Solar Farm project in the UK, with over 530MW-peak capacity.
