Allama Iqbal Open University Launches Beginner Russian Language Course in Islamabad
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in Islamabad has announced a three-month face-to-face Russian language course designed specifically for beginners. The program is scheduled to commence on June 1, 2026, and will be conducted at the Russian Language and Culture Center within the university's Academic Complex in H-8, Islamabad. The curriculum focuses on establishing a strong foundation in Russian grammar and enhancing practical communication skills. Instruction will be provided by a native Russian speaker certified by the Russian Ministry of Education. The course includes continuous assessments and a final examination, upon successful completion of which participants will receive an official certificate. This certification is noted to potentially support applications for Master’s and PhD scholarships in Russia and Central Asian states. The total fee for the three-month program is Rs. 5,000. AIOU clarified that it does not provide accommodation, travel, or refreshments, leaving these arrangements to the participants.
