Could 50-50 settlement rule cause pricing to diverge from actual outcome?
In the first set of the Lisbon match between Palicova and Ortenzi, the market is almost entirely priced for Ortenzi to win, but if the match is canceled or the first set is not completed, the prediction market will resolve 50-50. Given the possibility of weather or player injury interruptions, could this settlement rule cause the market pricing to diverge from the actual match outcome?
