San Francisco 49ers Owner Jed York Arrested in Ohio Prostitution Sting
Jed York, principal owner of the San Francisco 49ers and co-owner of Leeds United, was arrested on August 24, 2026, in East Palestine, Ohio, after responding to an undercover police ad on a sex trafficking website. He used a fake name and agreed to pay $160 for sex. Initially charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools, the prostitution charge was reduced to disorderly conduct. York pleaded no contest, was fined $1,150, sentenced to two days in jail (one day credited), and ordered to forfeit $160 to a human trafficking task force. The NFL will review the matter under its personal conduct policy.
