Chevron invests $7 billion to more than double Venezuela oil production to 600,000 bpd
Chevron announced a $7 billion investment over five years to more than double its oil production in Venezuela to approximately 600,000 barrels per day. The expansion follows new agreements granting Chevron additional Orinoco Belt acreage and improved fiscal, commercial, and legal terms. The U.S. energy giant currently produces about 290,000 bpd in Venezuela, all exported to the United States.
