Juneyao Air marks 20 years, 200 million passengers, and unveils Airbus cabin upgrade
Juneyao Air, a Shanghai-based private carrier, celebrated its 20th anniversary in September 2026, having carried over 200 million passengers since 2006. Chairman Wang Jinjun announced a goal to become a world-class airline through internationalization, digitalization, and green operations. The airline partnered with Airbus to customize cabins for 25 A320-series aircraft, with first deliveries in the second half of 2028. International transit passengers surged from 110,000 in 2024 to 450,000 in 2025, accounting for nearly 90% of total transit in the first seven months of 2026.
