5-Year-Old Abuse Victim Missing from Bengaluru's Victoria Hospital

A five-year-old boy named Yashas, who was receiving treatment for physical abuse at Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru, has gone missing under suspicious circumstances. The child had been admitted after allegedly being assaulted by his mother, Sushmitha, with a heated spoon on April 11, an incident discovered by his father. Authorities registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Juvenile Justice Act. On April 14, while the boy was accompanied by his grandmother, Rajani, and hospital staff member Anjum, he vanished. Anjum had briefly left to retrieve an outpatient slip, leaving the child with Rajani. Upon her return, Yashas was missing, and Rajani reportedly feigned ignorance. Despite immediate search efforts within the hospital and surrounding areas, the child remains untraceable. Police have launched a missing person investigation, examining all angles including potential family involvement, as concerns mount regarding the minor's safety and well-being.
