Water Supply Suspended in Tiruchi on May 13 Due to Power Maintenance

The municipal authorities in Tiruchi, Tamil Nadu, have announced a temporary suspension of drinking water supply for numerous areas within the city on May 13, 2026. This disruption is a direct consequence of a scheduled power shutdown at the Kambarasampettai substation, organized by the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) for essential maintenance work on May 12. The lack of electricity will prevent overhead water tanks from operating, thereby halting distribution to dependent neighborhoods. Affected localities include Viragupettai, Rockfort, Woraiyur, Cantonment, Tiruverumbur, and over thirty other residential colonies and Nagar areas.
