Vizianagaram Women and Bapatla Men Win 13th State Beach Kabaddi Championship

The 13th State-level Beach Kabaddi Championship concluded in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, with teams from Vizianagaram and Bapatla districts securing top honors. The four-day tournament, held at Duvvuru village in the Sangam mandal of SPSR Nellore district, featured intense competition among participants from 25 districts across the state. In the women's category, the Vizianagaram team claimed the first prize, defeating competitors from Srikakulam (second), Nellore (third), and Bapatla (fourth). Meanwhile, the Bapatla district team emerged victorious in the men's category, followed by Nellore in second place, Palnadu in third, and Krishna in fourth. State Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy served as the chief guest, presenting trophies and certificates to the winners. He expressed satisfaction with the successful hosting of the event in his constituency and congratulated the athletes, encouraging them to strive for excellence at the national level. The minister attended the finals alongside his daughter, Leela Kaivalya Reddy, and local leaders, highlighting the growing popularity of beach kabaddi in the region.
