Vizag Collector Urges Officials to Secure Top Rank Across All Sectors

Visakhapatnam District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore directed district officials to strive for the top position in all sectors within Andhra Pradesh during a review meeting at the Collectorate. Emphasizing a clear vision and focused action plans, he highlighted the importance of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), public perception, the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS), and Swarna Ward-Swarna Gram services. While noting that Visakhapatnam already leads the state in Gross District Domestic Product and per capita income, the Collector pointed out areas for improvement, specifically ranking second in public perception and fourth in KPI performance. He instructed officials to analyze constituency-wise feedback to address dissatisfaction and ensure the speedy disposal of grievances. The review covered critical sectors including agriculture, housing, irrigation, welfare, healthcare, and drinking water supply. Specific directives were issued to accelerate projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission and AMRUT 2.0, improve hostel facilities, and complete solar unit installations under the PM Kusum scheme. Additionally, the Collector stressed the need to strengthen e-office implementation, expand skill surveys, and enhance awareness of welfare schemes to improve overall governance outcomes through innovation and accountability.
