Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has officially established an independent robotics laboratory dedicated to the development of home robots. According to recent announcements, the company is actively recruiting a chief scientist of robotics, seeking candidates with significant achievements in embodied intelligence or robotics who can lead research teams. Vivo Executive Vice President Hu Baishan clarified the strategic direction of this new venture, stating that while the company is entering the home robotics market, it will not manufacture full-body hardware.
