Vertigo Developer Joins Rust Ltd to Work on H3VR Sequel
Zach Tsiakalis-Brown, the independent developer behind the acclaimed PC VR action-adventure series Vertigo, has revealed his collaboration with Rust Ltd on the upcoming sequel to Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades (H3VR). In a recent video update, Tsiakalis-Brown disclosed that he has been contributing to H3VR2 since early 2024, officially assuming roles in gameplay programming and technical art throughout 2025. His responsibilities include developing the procedural level generator, player character controller, hand interaction systems, firearm simulations, and AI for the game's signature 'Sosig' enemies. This partnership means that projects under his own studio, Zulubo Productions, have been paused or slowed down until the sequel launches. H3VR2 aims to elevate production values and focus on a roguelike facility game mode, evolving from the original's take-and-hold mechanics. The title is scheduled for release on Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, and PC VR headsets via Steam, although a specific release window has not yet been announced. This collaboration highlights significant cross-studio cooperation within the virtual reality gaming industry.
