Vector Institute for AI Launches in Toronto to Lead Global Deep Learning Research
The Vector Institute, a new independent artificial intelligence research facility, officially launched in Toronto's MaRS Discovery District on March 30, 2017. Aimed at establishing Canada as a global economic supercluster in AI, the institute focuses on deep learning and machine learning technologies. Its primary goal is to produce, attract, and retain the world's largest number of AI graduates, including masters, PhDs, and post-doctoral researchers.
