The Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence has launched the FastLane program, a new initiative designed to help Canada’s small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) leverage artificial intelligence for economic growth. Tailored to the specific needs of growth-oriented businesses, the program offers leading-edge AI knowledge transfer, training courses, and collaborative projects. More than 50 companies have joined the inaugural cohort, aiming to build internal AI capabilities and access top talent in a competitive global market. Funded in part by the Province of Ontario, the initiative supports Ontario-based businesses in enhancing their global competitiveness. Participants gain access to Vector’s Digital Talent Hub, connecting them with over 700 graduates from recognized AI master’s programs. Garth Gibson, President and CEO of the Vector Institute, emphasized the program's role in fostering innovation and improving lives through AI. Vic Fedeli, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, highlighted the importance of adopting advanced technologies for future success.
