Two Arrested in Chennai for Sexual Assault on Minor Boys

Police in Mambalam, Chennai, have arrested a 27-year-old man and a juvenile under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for sexually assaulting two minor boys aged 10 and 13. The investigation revealed that the accused coerced the victims into enacting acts depicted in pornographic videos. To ensure silence, the perpetrators threatened to kill the children with a knife if they disclosed the abuse to their families. The crime came to light inadvertently when police officers intervened in a neighborhood fight involving the two juvenile victims. During subsequent questioning, one of the boys revealed the sexual assault they had endured at the accused's residence. Following the registration of the case, the adult suspect was remanded in judicial custody at the Central Prison in Puzhal, while the juvenile accomplice was sent to the Government Observation Home for boys in Kellys after being produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
