TVK Candidate Arul Prakasam Prioritizes Land Titles, Startups, and Safety in Saidapet

M. Arul Prakasam, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) candidate for the Saidapet Assembly Constituency in the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections, has outlined a comprehensive manifesto focused on immediate civic improvements and economic empowerment. Prakasam pledged to issue long-pending land titles (pattas) to residents within 100 days to six months if elected. His ten-point plan includes transforming Saidapet into a "Mini Singapore" through digitalized education, 24-hour clean drinking water, and enhanced public safety via Wi-Fi-enabled CCTV cameras. He also proposed creating a "drug-free" and "mosquito-free" environment by cleaning sewage canals. Economically, Prakasam aims to foster entrepreneurship among local youth, leveraging nearby industrial estates like Guindy and SIPCOT, and establishing government coaching centers for competitive exams. Additionally, he announced special plans involving private partnerships to restore the Adyar River, criticizing previous regimes for failing to implement such projects. Expressing confidence in a decisive victory, Prakasam attributed strong public support to the widespread affection for TVK leader C. Joseph Vijay, known as Thalapathy, noting that voters are eager for political change.
