Tiruchi Ranks Fifth in State Plus Two Pass Percentage; Ariyalur Student Scores 598/600

Tiruchi district secured the fifth rank in Tamil Nadu for the Plus Two public examinations, achieving a pass percentage of 97.50%. This marks a significant improvement from its 12th rank in 2025. Among government schools in the district, Tiruchi recorded the third-highest pass rate at 96.55%. The results, released on May 8, 2026, showed that 30,157 out of 30,930 students passed. In Ariyalur district, student T. Rikshitha emerged as a top performer statewide, scoring 598 out of 600 marks with perfect scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Other central districts also reported strong performances, with over 91% of students passing. Karur district ranked 15th with a 96.20% pass rate, while Pudukottai achieved 95.88%. Perambalur and Nagapattinam recorded pass percentages of 94.53% and 94.38%, respectively. Mayiladuthurai saw a slight increase to 93.51%. Thanjavur district achieved a high pass rate of 97.19%, whereas Tiruvarur stood at 91%. The data highlights varying educational outcomes across the region, with specific attention given to government school performance and individual academic excellence.
