Telangana Minister Invites U.S. Firms to Invest in Aerospace and Defence

Sridhar Babu, the IT and Industries Minister of Telangana, has formally invited companies and investors from the United States to establish partnerships with the Indian state in strategic sectors including aerospace, defence, and space systems. During a high-level engagement with a delegation from the U.S. National War College at the Secretariat in Hyderabad, the Minister highlighted Telangana's emergence as a premier destination for advanced manufacturing and technology investments. He emphasized the state's active encouragement of foreign direct investment in artificial intelligence, cyber security, and space technologies. To substantiate the region's economic vitality, Sridhar Babu cited robust performance metrics, noting an annual growth rate exceeding 30% and a remarkable compound annual growth rate of 103% in exports between 2024 and 2026. The address aimed to strengthen bilateral industrial ties and showcase Telangana's infrastructure and policy support for high-tech industries. This initiative underscores the state's strategic focus on becoming a global hub for defence and aerospace innovation, leveraging its rapid economic expansion to attract significant capital and technological expertise from American firms seeking opportunities in India's growing defence and space markets.
