TDP State Chief Hails Delimitation Bill as Historic Corrective

Palla Srinivasa Rao, the State president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has strongly endorsed the Delimitation Bill recently introduced in the Indian Parliament, describing it as a historic corrective measure. Speaking in Visakhapatnam, he dismissed concerns that the proposed delimitation exercise would disadvantage southern states, labeling such apprehensions as factually incorrect. Rao explained that the Bill moves away from a strict population-based approach, thereby ensuring balanced representation and addressing regional imbalances uniformly across the country. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for driving this bold reform agenda, which he believes strengthens the foundations of Indian democracy. Additionally, Rao highlighted that the vision of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is reaffirmed by these developments, particularly in harmonizing state interests with national priorities. The TDP leader also welcomed the simultaneous introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill, viewing both initiatives as signs of the central government's commitment to inclusive governance and women's empowerment. He urged all sections of society to support these reforms to fortify the democratic structure of India.
