TDP Internal Conflict in Satyavedu Escalates, Targeting Nara Lokesh

Internal factional fighting within the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Satyavedu has intensified, unexpectedly targeting party Working President Nara Lokesh. The controversy was triggered by the recent appointment of Sankar Reddy as the constituency's programme coordinator, a decision that angered the faction led by MLA Koneti Adimoolam, who had advocated for Ganga Prasad for the role. Following Lokesh’s visit to Tirupati district to inaugurate sports infrastructure, Koneti Suman, Adimoolam’s son and a ZPTC member, publicly criticized the high command for alleged disrespect toward his father. In a significant escalation, Suman demanded reimbursement of ₹100 crore allegedly spent by Adimoolam during recent elections if the party expects him to resign as MLA. Additionally, Suman accused the district administration and state party leadership of ignoring illegal transportation of gravel and sand from Satyavedu to neighboring Tamil Nadu. This public dispute highlights deepening rifts within the TDP at the local level, with family members of elected officials challenging central party decisions and alleging corruption and negligence by leadership.
