Taskdudes Develops Workforce Management SaaS in Public 45-Day Challenge
The development team behind Taskdudes is currently undertaking a public build challenge to create a comprehensive workforce management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform within a 45-day timeframe. The project aims to resolve operational friction caused by companies relying on multiple disconnected tools for scheduling, attendance tracking, employee management, and invoicing. By unifying these workflows into a single scalable platform, Taskdudes seeks to simplify business operations. As of day 15, the team has successfully developed key modules including employee management, shift scheduling, time tracking, and automated invoicing workflows, alongside backend optimizations and quality testing. The technical infrastructure relies on a modern stack comprising Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and Redis. This collaborative effort involves multiple developers focusing on architecture, scalability, and product decisions while documenting challenges, trade-offs, and technical learnings publicly. The initiative highlights a transparent approach to software engineering, aiming to deliver a production-ready SaaS product that streamlines human resource operations for businesses through integrated digital solutions.
