Swift Police Response Saves Five Hotel Workers from Fire in Bengaluru

In a display of rapid emergency response, Hoysala patrolling staff successfully rescued five hotel workers trapped by a fire at the Durgashree Hotel in Nagarabhavi, Bengaluru. The incident occurred around 1:52 a.m. on Friday when a passerby spotted smoke and flames, promptly alerting authorities via the Namma 112 emergency helpline. Personnel from the Kamakshipalya Police Station, specifically ASI H.B. Kumar and APC Yallalinga, arrived at the scene within eleven minutes. Facing dense smoke that hindered escape, the officers collaborated with local residents to enter the premises and safely extract all five victims. The rescued individuals were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment using the police vehicle. Subsequently, Fire and Emergency Services personnel extinguished the blaze, preventing further structural damage or casualties.
