The incident occurred around 2:15 pm when an under-training SI, Gurvinder Singh, and his team attempted to apprehend a suspect linked to an NDPS case. As police tried to detain the accused, associates at the scene turned aggressive, assaulting the officers with sticks and attempting to free the suspect. Despite the violent resistance, police successfully secured the initial suspect in their vehicle. Following the scuffle, authorities arrested two individuals at the spot and later detained four others who had fled, bringing the total number of arrests to six.
