Stalin Urges Tamil Nadu Governor to Expedite New Government Formation

M.K. Stalin, the president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and outgoing Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has formally urged Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar to take immediate constitutional steps toward forming a new state government. This appeal follows the official announcement of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election results and the subsequent release of the list of elected Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) by the Election Commission. Additionally, the Governor has issued an order dissolving the 16th Legislative Assembly. In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Stalin emphasized that facilitating the oath-taking ceremony for elected MLAs and establishing a new administration is crucial for continuing the state's welfare initiatives. He described this process as the most important duty in a democracy and the need of the hour, calling on the Governor to act without any further delay.
