Spotify Launches New Adaptive UI for Tablet Devices

Spotify has officially debuted a redesigned user interface specifically tailored for tablet users, marking a significant update to its mobile application experience. The new UI introduces adaptive orientation capabilities, allowing the layout to switch dynamically between portrait and landscape modes rather than merely resizing the existing interface. This enhancement aims to optimize the viewing experience on larger screens. Key features include a collapsible sidebar that enables parallel browsing, allowing users to scroll through content while watching music videos or podcasts in a dedicated side panel. Additionally, the "switch to video" toggle has been made more prominent to improve accessibility and user engagement with visual content. Although elements of this design were tested with select users earlier in the year, the final version is now rolling out globally for both iPad and Android tablet devices.
