China-based artificial intelligence giant SenseTime announced that its spin-off embodied robotics startup, ACE Robotics, has successfully completed an angel funding round. The investment was led by Ant Group, with participation from Qiming Venture Partners, GVC, Hony Capital, Lenovo Capital, and Lotus Capital from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Existing investor Sense Capital also increased its stake in the company. Although the specific financial amount remains undisclosed, the capital will be utilized to accelerate model development, enhance data collection capabilities, and drive commercial deployments across key sectors such as energy, transport, and tourism. ACE Robotics, which officially debuted in December 2025, is spearheaded by SenseTime co-founder Wang Xiaogang and chief scientist Tao Dacheng, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science. The startup previously launched its ACE embodied R&D framework, the A1 robot intelligence module, and an open-source world model known as Kairos 3.0.
