Seasun Games Sets July 2 Global Launch for Mecha BREAK
Chinese developer Seasun Games has officially announced that its original near-future sci-fi mech combat game, Mecha BREAK, will launch globally on July 2. The title will be released simultaneously on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 platforms. Since its initial trailer debut at The Game Awards in 2023, the game has generated significant interest, currently holding the fifth spot on Steam’s global wishlist and surpassing five million pre-registrations worldwide. Mecha BREAK is a team-based online shooter set in a future where pilots battle in contaminated zones using five distinct mech classes: Attacker, Defender, Supporter, Brawler, and Sniper. To celebrate the launch, players will receive unrestricted access to 12 mechs. The game features a theme song composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, known for his work on Attack on Titan. Previous open testing in February saw over 1.76 million players participate, with peak concurrent users on PC exceeding 300,000. Producer Kris confirmed that future updates will introduce new environments, including lunar and underwater battlefields, with further details on maps and mechanics scheduled for release in late June.
