Scheduled Power Shutdown in Tiruchi for Maintenance on May 12

The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced a scheduled power suspension in various areas of Tiruchi (Tiruchirappalli) on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The outage is set to occur from 9:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to facilitate essential maintenance works at the Mainguard Gate and Kambarasampettai sub-stations. This temporary shutdown will impact a wide range of locations within the city, including major roads such as Karur By-pass Road and Old Karur Road, as well as residential neighborhoods like VN Nagar, Woraiyur Housing Unit, and Ariyamangari. Critical infrastructure, including drinking water pumping stations for Golden Rock, HAPP, and the Ramanathapuram Cauvery Drinking Water Supply Scheme, will also be affected. Residents and businesses in the listed areas, which extend to Devadhanam, Thogur, and several other localities, are advised to prepare for the interruption in electricity supply.
