RoboSense Delivers One Millionth LiDAR Sensor to Humanoid Robot Qinglong
Chinese robotics firm RoboSense achieved a significant industry milestone by producing its one millionth LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) unit, becoming the first company globally to reach this production volume. The landmark event took place in Shenzhen, where RoboSense officially delivered the one millionth unit, an E1R LiDAR sensor, to Humanoid Robots (Shanghai) Limited. This specific sensor is designated for use in Qinglong, China’s first full-sized general-purpose humanoid robot model. Xing Boyang, Tech Director at Humanoid Robots (Shanghai) Limited, confirmed that the National Local Joint Humanoid Robot Innovation Center has adopted RoboSense’s E1R LiDAR for the development of the public version of Qinglong. The Qinglong robot and its associated open-source technologies were originally released by Humanoid Robots (Shanghai) Limited in July of the previous year. This collaboration highlights the growing integration of advanced sensing technologies in the rapidly evolving humanoid robotics sector, marking a key step forward for both companies in commercializing next-generation robotic solutions.
