Building upon the recently launched UK university spin-out register, this new initiative aims to provide a comprehensive, dynamic view of active spin-out companies. The dashboard is part of the National Knowledge Exchange Metrics Programme, developed in collaboration with Jisc and the Policy Evidence Unit for University Commercialisation and Innovation (UCI). A newly published 'Data Digest' highlights key insights, case studies, and visualizations derived from this data. The primary goal is to move beyond simple counting of spin-outs to analyzing their growth pathways, regional distribution, and success factors. By answering critical questions about ecosystem health and international benchmarks, the dashboard will support evidence-based decision-making for government, academia, and industry.
