Preparations Complete for BSY Abhimanotsava in Chitradurga; Massive Turnout Expected

Organizers have finalized preparations for the BSY Abhimanotsava, a grand event in Chitradurga celebrating former Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa’s fifty years in public life. Scheduled for Saturday, the gathering is anticipated to draw nearly one million attendees from across the state, marking it as a historic political assembly. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will grace the occasion, arriving via helicopter from Shivamogga Airport. The event will be presided over by Chitradurga MP Govind Kajrol and attended by prominent BJP leaders, including Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and several former Chief Ministers. Additionally, respected religious seers from various mutts are expected to participate. To manage the massive crowd, hundreds of buses have been arranged, particularly from neighboring districts like Shivamogga, which may impact local public transport. Extensive security measures have been implemented, with 2,800 police officials deployed from multiple districts to ensure safety. The program aims to honor Yediyurappa’s significant contributions to Karnataka, ranging from his early local body elections to his tenure as Chief Minister, where he championed farmers and marginalized communities.
