Panchaganga Express to Short-Terminate at Yeshwantpur Due to Yard Remodelling

The South Western Railway has announced temporary schedule changes for the Panchaganga Express and Murdeshwar Express services in Karnataka, India, due to infrastructure maintenance. Train No. 16596 (Karwar-KSR Bengaluru) will be short-terminated at Yeshwantpur station and cancelled between Yeshwantpur and KSR Bengaluru from July 31 to August 2. Correspondingly, its pairing service, Train No. 16595 (KSR Bengaluru-Karwar), will short-originate from Yeshwantpur from August 1 to August 3. These measures facilitate pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking block works for yard remodelling at KSR Bengaluru Station. Additionally, the Murdeshwar-SMVT Bengaluru Express services will be diverted via Yeshwantpur, Hebbal, and Banaswadi, skipping stops at Bengaluru Cantonment station. Train No. 16586 will skip the stop on July 16 and 17, while Train No. 16585 will do so from July 17 to 19. Furthermore, the Train No. 16586 journey commencing on August 3 will be rescheduled with a 60-minute delay from Murdeshwar. Passengers are advised to check updated schedules to accommodate these temporary operational adjustments aimed at improving station infrastructure.
