Pakistan Rangers Arrest Five Suspects for Street Crime and Motorcycle Theft in Karachi
The Pakistan Rangers Sindh have arrested five suspects allegedly involved in a series of street crimes and motorcycle thefts in Karachi. Acting on intelligence-based information, security forces conducted a raid in Mujahid Colony, Nazimabad, apprehending Zeeshan alias “Malotra”, Muhammad Ubaid alias “Dadu”, Muhammad Jashim, Naveed-ur-Rehman alias “Pathan”, and Ahmed alias “Eemo”. During the operation, authorities recovered one motorcycle, three mobile phones, and cash from the suspects. According to a Rangers spokesperson, the gang was responsible for various criminal activities, including drug peddling, pickpocketing outside marriage halls, and stealing motorcycles, batteries, and electric wires in Nazimabad and surrounding areas. The suspects reportedly disguised themselves as pushcart vendors to facilitate their crimes near shopping malls and event venues. Additionally, three of the accused were involved in trading stolen motorcycle parts. Several First Information Reports (FIRs) had previously been registered against them at different police stations. The arrested individuals and recovered items have been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings, while efforts continue to locate other accomplices associated with the criminal network.
