The Ottawa Police Service has issued a public appeal for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the assault of two elderly women in February 2026. The incident occurred around 1:05 p.m. on February 2 in the 2200 block of Riverside Drive. According to police reports, the two victims were walking when they were approached and assaulted by an individual who subsequently fled the scene on foot. One of the women, who was using a walker at the time, sustained minor injuries during the attack. Authorities have released a detailed description of the suspect, identifying him as a white male aged between 20 and 25 with a thin build. At the time of the assault, he was wearing sunglasses, a dark tuque, a blue and green jacket, dark pants, and notably mismatched shoes—one black and one white. The investigation remains active, and detectives are urging anyone with relevant information to contact Det. Vianney Calixte of the East Criminal Investigations Section.
