Ottawa CityFolk Unveils Lineup for New RA Centre Venue
The Ottawa CityFolk Festival has announced its lineup and confirmed a move to a new semi-permanent location at the RA Centre for its 2026 edition. Headlining acts include rock legend Alice Cooper, Alabama Shakes, Third Eye Blind, Cameron Whitcomb, and Of Monsters and Men. The festival is scheduled to run from September 16 to 20, with organizers aiming to attract 10,000 attendees nightly, representing a 20 percent capacity increase over its previous site at Lansdowne Park. Executive Director Mark Monahan cited space constraints and ongoing construction at Lansdowne as primary reasons for the relocation. The new venue, located less than four kilometers south of the former site, offers improved public transit access and room for expansion, including a Vintage Village. While there were expectations of a move to LeBreton Flats, scheduling conflicts and a desire to maintain the festival's distinct identity led to the selection of the RA Centre. TD Canada Trust returns as the main stage sponsor, joined by new partners Dominion City Brewing and Happy Dad. This shift marks a significant strategic change for the event, which seeks an indefinite future at this new home.
