Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has announced a significant internal restructuring involving the formal merger of its sub-brands, OnePlus and Realme, into a single new business unit. This strategic move aims to integrate resources and streamline operations across the group. Li Bingzhong, the founder of Realme and Senior Vice President at Oppo, has been appointed to lead the newly formed unit. Xu Qi, formerly the President of Realme’s global marketing and sales, will oversee the integrated marketing systems for both brands. On the product development front, Li Jie, the former President of OnePlus China, will take charge, with domestic and overseas product teams reporting directly to Liu Zuohu, Oppo’s Chief Product Officer.
