Opel has officially revealed the all-electric Corsa GSE, marking it as the fastest accelerating production vehicle in the brand's current lineup. Following the launch of the Mokka GSE, this new 'hot hatch' utilizes the e-CMP platform and shares key technical specifications with its SUV counterpart. The Corsa GSE features a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 207 kW and 345 Nm of torque, enabling a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 5.5 seconds, surpassing the Mokka GSE's 5.9 seconds. While acceleration is superior, the top speed is limited to 180 km/h, compared to the Mokka's 200 km/h. The vehicle is equipped with a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery, though final WLTP range figures remain pending homologation. Significant chassis upgrades include a Torsen limited-slip differential, lowered sports suspension, and four-piston performance brakes. Visually, the model distinguishes itself with bespoke front and rear designs, black trim elements, wider wheel arches, and 18-inch wheels with Alcon brake calipers.
