Ongole Bulls Shine at National Strength Competition in Prakasam

Thousands of spectators gathered in Tellapadu village, located in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, to witness the National-level Bull Strength Competition 2026. Held on the evening of May 10, 2026, this traditional cattle endurance event was organized as part of the annual festivities for the Sri Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy Devalayam temple. The competition highlighted the strength, agility, and power of the renowned Ongole-breed bulls, drawing attendees from neighboring districts and states. Prominent political figures, including Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Santanuthalapadu MLA B.N. Vijay Kumar, and Kanigiri MLA Mukku Ugra Narasimha Reddy, participated in the event. Minister Swamy praised the Ongole breed as a source of state pride and international recognition.
