Novisto Acquires UK-Based Minimum to Build All-in-One ESG Platform
Montréal-based sustainability software company Novisto has acquired UK-based carbon accounting startup Minimum to create a comprehensive, all-in-one environmental, social, and governance (ESG) platform. This marks Novisto’s first acquisition since its $37.7 million CAD Series C funding round last year. The deal integrates Minimum’s specialized carbon calculator technology directly into Novisto’s broader ESG reporting system, aiming to simplify complex emissions calculations for enterprise clients. By unifying these tools, Novisto addresses the fragmented nature of the current ESG software market, where businesses often juggle multiple platforms. The acquisition also significantly expands Novisto’s European footprint, with Minimum’s London office remaining open and increasing the combined UK headcount to 34 employees. This strategic move is designed to help companies navigate increasingly strict ESG reporting regulations in the UK, EU, California, and Australia. Both companies have been partners for three years, serving over 30 joint clients. Existing customers will retain their contract terms, and Novisto plans to launch an AI-driven dashboard for ESG and carbon metrics later this year, continuing its mission to provide an end-to-end sustainability management solution.
