Naidu Directs Collectors to Clear APIIC Lands and Boost MSME Sector

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed District Collectors to expedite the removal of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) lands from the Section 22A prohibited list during a conference in Vijayawada. He instructed the Registration Department to facilitate this process through Inspector-Generals to resolve land allotment issues without delay, aiming to stimulate the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, which is a key employment generator. Naidu emphasized transforming local products into global brands to retain economic value within the state. Additionally, he highlighted advancements in emerging technologies, including the establishment of a Google Cloud AI Hub and a Quantum Reference Facility in Amaravati. The Chief Minister also promoted renewable energy initiatives, urging the integration of rooftop solar systems and the PM Kusum scheme for government buildings and agricultural pump sets. Furthermore, he addressed logistics improvements, noting ongoing national highway and railway projects designed to reduce transport costs and accelerate economic growth. Collectors were appointed as mentors for governance best practices, underscoring the administration's focus on result-oriented approaches and infrastructure development.
