MITS NCC Cadets Complete Himalayan Adventure Camp in Sikkim

National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from the Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science (MITS) in Annamayya district have successfully completed a prestigious National-Level Adventure and Mountaineering Camp. The program was organized by the Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure and Eco-Tourism in Sikkim. Three cadets, Gangarapu Jyotheeswar, Ramireddy Laxman, and M. Bhargavi, represented their institution among 15 participants from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The intensive camp featured various high-altitude activities, including trekking, mountaineering, river rafting, and paragliding within the Himalayan region. C. Yuvaraj, the Vice-Chancellor of MITS, highlighted the significance of this achievement, noting that the training substantially enhanced the cadets' physical endurance, teamwork capabilities, and leadership qualities. He emphasized that such experiences are crucial for preparing young individuals for national service. This event underscores the commitment of educational institutions in the region to fostering discipline and adventure skills among students through structured NCC programs.
