AP Minister Accuses Jagan of Spreading Lies on Juvvaladinne Harbour Project

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Roads and Buildings, B.C. Janardhan Reddy, has strongly criticized YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for allegedly spreading falsehoods regarding the Juvvaladinne Fishing Harbour and the Sagar Defence Engineering Limited (SDEL) maritime shipyard project. Speaking to the media at the Secretariat in Amaravati, Minister Reddy clarified that out of the total 114-acre land parcel designated for the initiative, only 28 acres have been allotted to SDEL. He asserted that the remaining land is reserved for the fishing harbour and the establishment of related industries. The Minister further condemned Jagan’s recent statement about shifting the project if his party returns to power, interpreting it as a reflection of his adverse mindset toward infrastructure development. The press conference, also attended by Mines and Geology Minister Kollu Ravindra, aimed to correct public misconceptions and defend the current government's allocation strategy. This exchange highlights the ongoing political friction between the ruling party and the opposition concerning major infrastructure projects in the state.
