Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor has officially unveiled its new flagship D19 luxury SUV, marking the debut of its high-end D platform. The vehicle is offered in two distinct powertrain configurations: a pure electric version and a range extender variant. The pure electric model is equipped with a substantial 115kWh battery, delivering a maximum range of 720km and supporting 1000V ultra-fast charging capable of adding 350km of range in just 15 minutes. It also boasts a maximum power output of 540kW. Alternatively, the range extender version combines an 80.3kWh battery with a 40-liter fuel tank and dual motors, achieving a pure-electric range of 500km while reducing system weight by over 60kg. Both variants incorporate advanced technological features, including Qualcomm dual 8797 chips providing 1,280 TOPS of AI computing power for enhanced driver assistance and in-cabin experiences. Additional innovations include LMC2.0 chassis control, DLP projection headlights, and a large 60-inch augmented reality head-up display.
