Labrador Gold Signs Option Agreement to Acquire Mariposa and Eureka Dome Projects in Yukon
Labrador Gold Corp. has announced the signing of an option agreement with Pacific Ridge Exploration Limited to acquire a 100% interest in the Mariposa and Eureka Dome gold projects located in the White Gold District of Yukon Territory. The agreement, dated May 8, 2026, positions Labrador Gold to expand its portfolio in a prolific mining region. The Mariposa project spans 16,000 hectares and comprises 795 claims, situated approximately 120 kilometers southeast of Dawson City. It shares geological similarities with nearby major deposits like White Gold and Coffee, indicating significant potential for orogenic gold mineralization. Historical exploration between 2010 and 2015 identified six significant gold occurrences, including Skookum Main and Big Alex, supported by extensive soil sampling and drilling data. Notable drill intercepts include 81.5 meters grading 1.51 g/t gold at Skookum Main. The property also benefits from proximity to proposed infrastructure, such as the Northern Access Route. Labrador Gold intends to re-evaluate existing databases and apply modern exploration technologies to further define the bedrock gold mineralization, leveraging recent district-wide successes to unlock the projects' value.
