Daniel Jacob Bastin, a student from Devagiri CMI Public School in Kozhikode, Kerala, has achieved a perfect score of 500 out of 500 in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class X examinations. The results, declared on April 15, 2026, highlighted his achievement as the national topper. This milestone occurred amidst a broader success story for the district, where all CBSE-affiliated schools in Kozhikode recorded a 100% pass rate. Following closely behind Daniel, Maziyya Hamda Edathodiyil of Wadi Rahma English School secured 499 marks, while Sadhika V. Panicker and Ananya Nair, also from Devagiri CMI Public School, scored 498 marks each. The announcement underscores the academic excellence within the region's educational institutions. Daniel is the son of the late Bastin James Jacob and Anne Mary Mathew.
