Kerala SSLC Results in Third Week of May; West Asia Exams Cancelled
Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty announced that the 2026 SSLC results will be declared in the third week of May, while Plus Two results are scheduled for May 25. The announcement followed a press conference addressing the cancellation of board examinations for students in the West Asia region due to ongoing conflict. An alternative assessment framework has been implemented for 633 SSLC students, whose grades will be based on model or term examination marks supplemented by grace marks. For 592 Class 12 students, first-year marks will be carried forward alongside Continuous Evaluation scores. Stranded students must provide verification documents to qualify for these measures, though they retain the option for improvement exams. Additionally, the minister introduced reforms to the continuous assessment system to enhance transparency, requiring schools to display scores publicly. A special study support program was also unveiled for government school students in Classes 5 to 9 who scored below 30 percent, running from April 20 to 27, 2026, followed by special examinations to determine promotion.
